Dog-Themed Meme Coins Soar With WIF, FLOKI And BONK Pumping Even As Bitcoin Slides On $9BN Mt. Gox Wallet Move

Dog meme coins including Dogwifhat (WIF), FLOKI, and Bonk (BONK) pumped over the past 24 hours to boost the collective capitalization of these canine-themed cryptos by almost 3% to $49.2 billion.

The pump came even as crypto leader Bitcoin slid almost 1% to $68,030.11 as of 5.26 a.m. EST amid concerns of selling pressure after defunct crypto exchange Mt.Gox moved $9 billion worth of BTC to an unknown address.

SAMO And BENDOG Keep Weekly Streaks Going

Byte (BYTE) was the best performer after soaring 43%. Samoyedcoin (SAMO) and Ben the Dog (BENDOG) recorded the next biggest gains of over 33% and more than 34%, respectively.

SAMO’s latest surge was a continuation of its stellar performance over the last 7 days. With its recent increase, the crypto’s value has more than doubled in the past week. Similarly, BENDOG’s recent uptick elevated its weekly performance to more than 63%.

3 Dog-Themed Meme Coins To Buy Amid Dogecoin's Bullish Projections

The positive trend seen in the dog-themed coin market continued over the past hour. SAMO led the charge on the shorter time frame after it surged more than 6%.

BonkWifGlass (BONG) surged more than 5%, while I love puppies (PUPPIES) jumped 6% in the one-hour timframe.

Some of the biggest dog-themed meme coins by market cap also posted 24-hour gains. WIF, the canine-themed crypto boasting the third largest market cap, jumped over 4%. This pushed the altcoin’s weekly performance deeper into the green zone to more than 16%.

FLOKI and BONK both saw their prices increase over 20% in the last 7 days. This comes after FLOKI gained another 3% and BONK recorded a slight increase in price over the past 24 hours.

As canine-themed altcoins pump, hot presale tokens like Dogeverse (DOGEVERSE) and WienerAI (WAI) are likely to get a boost, too.

Investors continue to pile into DOGEVERSE as its launch nears with over $15 million raised, while analysts say WAI could be a 100x opportunity.

Wall Street banking giant Citi (NYSE: C) is projecting a bullish outlook for Bitcoin (BTC) by the end of 2025, with its base-case target set at $135,000. According to the bank’s valuation framework, the flagship digital currency could reach $135,000 while a more optimistic outlook sees Bitcoin surging to $199,000.
